ABOUT

Roberto De Icco, is a neurologist of the Headache Science & Neurorehabilitation Center and the coordinator of the Analysis of Movement Research Unit of the IRCCS Mondino Foundation (Pavia, Italy); he is a Researcher at the Department of Brain and Behavioral Sciences of the University of Pavia. Roberto De Icco received his medical degree summa cum laude at the University of Pavia, where he also completed his residency in Clinical Neurophysiology. He obtained a PhD Degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Pavia. Dr. De Icco has been working as a consultant neurologist at the Neurological Research Institute C. Mondino Foundation since 2017.  During his residency he completed a research fellowship at the Headache Department of the IRCCS Neuromed “Istituto Neurologico Mediterraneo” (Pozzilli, Italy), while during his PhD he performed a research fellowship at the Danish Headache Center (Copenhagen, Denmark).

At present time, Roberto De Icco is involved in several working groups of the International Headache Society (IHS), and he is a member of the regional board of the Italian Society for the study of Headaches (SISC). He is a member of the Italian Society of Neurology (SIN) and of the Italian Society of Neurorehabilitation (SIRN).

His research activity is focused on headache and neurorehabilitation, with a specific interest in neurophysiological investigations, in the application of neuromodulation therapies, and in the analysis of movement. His research activity is mainly conducted on humans, both clinical based and with experimental migraine models of migraine.
