Håkan Ashina, MD, is a Research Fellow at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. He is also a Medical Doctor at the Danish Headache Center and the Department of Neurorehabilitation and Traumatic Brain Injury, Rigshospitalet, Denmark.

Dr. Ashina has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and his academic works focus on the neurobiological underpinnings of post-traumatic headache and migraine. He is considered among the leading experts on post-traumatic headache worldwide.

Dr. Ashina is a recipient of the 2021 IHS Early-Career Headache Science Award (International Headache Society) and the 2021 LF Talent Prize (Lundbeck Foundation).
